Prequalified Prekindergarten Program
Our prekindergarten program is prequalified through the State of Vermont and provides everything your child needs to get prepared for kindergarten. We have licensed teachers that design curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards. Our passionate educators keeps children's individual needs in mind and creates fun, engaging learning opportunities for everyone. At ABC Academy we believe in educating the whole child while using hands-on experiences especially in the outside world. We do this by providing a nature-based emergent curriculum. Emergent curriculum is child-centered and based on the children’s own interest and needs. Our educators spend time observing and collaborating with children around their interests, needs and relevance to the children's lives.
Children in our prekindergarten program will learn all of the social emotional skills they need to master before going to kindergarten while still developing the academic skills needed.
We are partnered with various school districts to provide children with a high quality Pre-K experience. We offer flexible schedules and options to accommodate all families.

What is a prequalified prekindergarten program? We are a prequalified program with the Vermont Agency of Education. This means that our program works hard to meet a number of additional requirements to ensure the highest quality of early education. We have teachers licensed in Early Education, maintain 5-STARS through Vermont's Step Ahead Recognition System, and a fun, engaging curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards.
Meeting all of the additional requirements allows us to access Act 166 funding, which provides 10 hours of free pre-k to all children in our pre-k program! |
